My deepest sympathies to the family of Charles. He was a wonderful man and will be missed. I only met him a few times but I remember what a nice man he was with a great sense of humour and always a laugh. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. He is in a safe place now. Jane

Although we will all sadly miss our Uncle Charles we are comforted in the knowledge that he has gone home to share eternal life with our Heavenly Father. His infectious smile and wit will remain with us for the rest of our days along with some great memories to be cherished and tales to be retold. My greatest memories of my youth are of our summer days spent on the "big farm"...learning to ride a horse, driving tractor, baling hay and watching "Unc" as he had us call him milk all those cows. The highlight of the evening milking always occured when all the barn cats would come out and line up behind the cows and Unc would take aim pulling a teat and send a stream of milk into the mouths of the howling waiting cats...he was a pretty good aim as I recall. We were honored to share in his service and remember a good man and once again learn that most valuable lesson on how one earns earth's greatest riches. May God be with and bless all his family in their time of need. Arnold

Echoing my cousins, my best memories of Grandpa are from the many visits to the farm. It was always an adventure, a place where we kids could run wild and explore, and occasionally climb the water tower much to the parents dismay. I remember riding around on tractors and "Big Red", playing shuffleboard and learning to shoot pool in the basement. I also recall when Grandpa got his satellite dish at the farm, it was enormous, and by today's standards you'd think was contacting life beyond the solar system. He would boast about the hundreds of channels he received and all the hockey and baseball games he could watch. I guess he was both a pioneer in the fields, and in with technology providing in-home entertainment! Will remember him always, with lots of love, Jason

Grandparents have a bond with their grandchildren like no other, it is pure, patient, loving, they are experienced and wiser, we are an extension of their love for their own child. My fondest memories of my grandpa were at the farm from the smell of his coveralls when he came in after a long day, his strong hands but gentle smile, his love for peanuts and candy, falling asleep to hockey night in Canada, air popped popcorn, his love of tractors and most of all his warm laugh. Grandpa taught us to pick apples (we ate more than we picked), and most of all he showed us what hard work looked like right to the end. He was a man of many talents woodworking, restoring tractors, and being a friend and companion to many. I will miss you Grandpa more than words can say but you will always be a part of me and I thank you for all your love over the years. Love always, Sarah

When I remember Grandpa I think of all the family get togethers at the farm. Aunts and Uncles, all of the cousins, together celebrating Christmas or Easter or whatever. I remember playing in the orchard, climbing trees and eating apples. I loved sneaking candy and peanuts before dinner. I'll remember all of his tracktors and that singing fish. I'll miss his laugh and his smile.

I have many wonderful memories of my grandfather. And I am very thankful I was able to let him know how much I appreciated the time he spent with me.My sister and I always looked forward to going to the farm because you never knew were grandpa would take us what adventure we would go on..who we would meet the fun never ended. I remember him and I were on a hike in the back gully one day and I stepped on a hornets nest and he swooped me up on off we ran across the field as we were beng chased by these stinging pests. He was a happy man who enjoyed helping others. He always liked to hear how his great grand boys were doing and what was going on in there lives. We will miss him dearly..rest in peace now grandpa..Love Shannon, Dalton and Dylan xxoo

With our deepest sympathy to all the family. Uncle Charles was a truly remarkable person and we will surely miss him. I have many wonderful memories of fun times spent with our cousins on the farm, watching the cows being milked and riding the horses. Uncle Charles had such a kind, generous heart and a hearty laugh. May those warm memories bring you some comfort during these difficult days. Love Sherry

Some of the greatest memories I have with my grandfather were when my parents would send me up to the farm for a week every summer. It was always jammed packed with visiting different people, riding the 4 wheeler, fishing and eating from his 6 different candy dishes he'd have scattered around the living room. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him. Rest in peace. Your loving grand daughter, Laura xo
